The Speedbowl is a very fast mid banked 3/8th of a mile with 2 very distinct groves, most nights they provides consistent 2 and 3 wide racing for many laps at a time. The Speedbowl is known for its hard nose, fast racing where drivers have to be "up on the wheel" the whole time. It is known to separate the men from the boys and it tends to have every division put on great shows all through the program as this is not common at many tracks.

Also expected to run NEMA is Whelen Modified Tour driver of the Starrett #89 Matt Swanson and CT's 2018 3 track SK mod champion Keith Rocco.
On the Sunday card of the Bud Blastoff, it all starts with a pit party at 11am, where fans can meet their favorite drivers in person and get hero card autographs before all the action kicks off. It is a who’s-who in terms of who will take down the win and with that kind of money up for grabs it will be interesting to see who will show up to take a chance at it and put on a show. Also new this year is the Limited Sportsman (Street Stock type) race is raised to 30 laps. This division is a favorite of many goers of the Speedbowl as they tend to put on some of the best racing any where from any division.
